Since 2015, we've been supplying seafood and specialty products to some of the finest restaurants in San Francisco. Our journey began in the kitchen as chefs, but after traveling to coastal towns around the world, we grew frustrated returning home to seafood that lacked the sweetness and quality we experienced elsewhere—despite being right on the Pacific Coast. With a desire to change things up, we launched Four Star Seafood.
In 2017, we expanded our Provisions line, bringing in the ingredients we craved as chefs. We curated a pantry filled with exceptional products sourced from around the globe. We know what chefs seek and can recognize top-tier craftsmanship by taste.
In 2020, we took our business online and grew even further. Thanks to the strong relationships we built with home chefs from Carmel, San Jose, Oakland, Napa, Marin, Cloverdale, and beyond, we expanded our offerings to become a hub for local California food. We now provide Bay Area farm produce, small-batch specialty items, and proteins from local ranchers and butchers.
We also opened our retail shop, Billingsgate, in Noe Valley on 24th Street—a fish market and café where we host community events centered around seafood.
Now, in 2024, we’ve expanded to Los Angeles and Las Vegas, continuing to build relationships with local fishermen, food producers, and restaurants along the way.
